With Karen having moved back to New York, Hank has to deal with rebellious Becca. Charlie and Marcy move back in together despite the fact they still intend to divorce each other. Hank starts work as a college professor of a writing class and gets into trouble with an unexpected admirer, while Charlie deals with Marcy’s romantic life and her new boyfriend.
